Mentorsip Program

What is the BHG Mentorship Program?

Our new BHG mentorship program is designed to help athletes in season by issuing them an individual based program to help their performance on the ice, mentally, and planning wise. This program will run from September-February and will feature various components to help the player grow on and off the ice. One aspect of the program is 10, 1v1 skates, with a flexible schedule designed to suit the players best interest.

It will also include meetings (which can be in person or via zoom) with both players and their families to work on the mental side of the game as well as planning your off season training. Those meetings will be focused on setting goals for the season, managing the ups and downs of a season, learning to build confidence, setting a game day routine, and creating positive habits.

Towards the end of the season the meetings will start to translate more into working on an off-season training plan to make sure the athlete gets the best individual development plan possible.

The goal for this program is to give our players a chance to work and improve on their individual skill throughout the season as well as improve their habits, build confidence, and create a sustainable goal focused off season training plan.

 Summary of what is offered:

  • 10 1v1 skates spread out throughout the season (Either in Burnsville or South St. Paul)

  • 10 Meetings throughout the season to work on improving mental game, creating good habits and routines, and building confidence.

  • End of season meetings to build an optimal off-season training plan for the athlete.
